Schneider Electric NA is putting on a webcast next month entitled "A Practical Approach to Electrical Safety for Federal Facilities"
http://www.1105info.com/t.do?id=1748558:3176986

They're discussing how to enforce NFPA 70E 2004. It's a one hour cast. Might be worth sitting in on if you don't have a program established, or just want to compare.

I have found that many companies still do not know about the January 2009 deadline, or question it. Sources I quote to them are;
NFPA 70E Sections 110.8(B)(1)(b) and 130.3(B)
NESC ANSI C2-2007 Section 410.A
IEEE Std. 1584
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.132(d) and 1910.335
I would be interested in the perceptions that others are seeing, and if other Standards are being referenced.

I have served on the NFPA 70E Committee since 1992 and am a co-author of the Electrical Safety Handbook published by McGraw-Hill. I will help wherever I can in electrical safety and arc-flash.

NOTES - Photo Importing Instructions

This pertains to your personal photo, Group photos and Events photos.

The photo image will be compressed so that the smallest dimension is sized to 171 pixels and then the larger dimension will be cropped to the center of the photo. For your pictures to show up as you'd like, you'll need to make sure that the center of the photo is what you want to see, or add white space to the sides of your photos to make them square so when they are resized they will fit.

Please use a photo editing program to add white-space so that the photos are square and then import them, while also checking that the overall height or width is 171 pixels or less.

If you don't have a photo editing program, let us know and we'll see if we can get the photos resized for you.

Did you know that pocket protectors were invented by Electrical Engineer, Hurley Smith, in 1943?
